About SW ReGAP
This project establishes
the development of a second generation GAP Analysis database for Utah
and the coordination of efforts between the 5 Southwestern states of Nevada,
Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico. The Remote Sensing and GIS Laboratories
at Utah State University in collaboration with the U.S. Geological Survey
(USGS), will act as the coordinating entity to provide spatial information
to the 5-State participants in a seamless manner. USU and USGS will work
in concert with the Southwest Gap participants to establish protocols
for database construction, vegetation classification, data transfer, field
data collection, and land cover model generation.
