Utah GAP Analysis

Utah GAP Analysis was completed in 1995 by the Utah Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit and the RS/GIS Laboratory.

GAP Analysis is a proactive analysis of wildlife biodiversity which creates an environmental information system and includes four datasets:
1) Landsat TM mosaic
2) Land characterization
3) Land ownership
4) Biodiversity status.

Datasets are available in three CD-ROM packages:
1) Unix platform package includes hardcopy USGS maps
2) a PC platform package
3) land characterization data and metadata on the Intermountain Region CD-ROM. Metadata are also available as pdf downloadable files, or hard-copy publications in the Data Directory.
