Who can send to
an email list?
Posting
to email lists is restricted
to member listed in the
corresponding "Restrict Post" link from the View Details
page.
My email
address is listed in the "Restrict Post" column, how come I
can't send email to the lists?
Many
people have multiple email
addresses that deliver to the same
email address such as jane.doe@usu.edu,
forwarding to jdoe@gis.usu.edu,
forwarding to
janed@cc.usu.edu. Your "From:" email address must
match that listed within the
"Restrict Post" link. Send an email
to yourself and see what address is listed in the
"From:" field. Then
subscribe to a list using that email
address and unsubscribe your previous email address.
How is the
all.posters list created?
The
all.posters list is created from
all of the email addresses on
every @cnr.usu.edu list
Can anyone sign
up on a distribution list?
Yes,
you can sign up for any
distribution list. The owner of the
list will be notified and may at their discretion
remove members of a list or deny
individuals access.
What is the
spam@cnr.usu.edu email list?
Rather
than giving out your email
address to a website that will send a
reply back to your email addresss,
simply subscribe to the
spam@cnr.usu.edu list, provide spam@cnr.usu.edu
as your email address and once
to receive the reply message
unsubscribe yourself.
